A lake named "Nagda Lake" lies at the base of Arunachal Pradesh. However, due to unstable weather conditions, it remains closed. 7. Chilam Tar Lake
Known among travelers worldwide, Toli Pir Panchan Terrain Park, which overlooks the valley of river Kala Kalan River, is home to four natural lakes, namely: Salin, Thamserin, Toli and Namtshoelina. Surrounded by pine forests and lush vegetation, the parks offer a peaceful and serene environment. Various birds and mammals, too, are present in this natural wonderland. The main attraction here is the white water of the Parlour Naturals Lake. This lake was created by rainwater filtering through the filter rocks and soil that were deposited by melting ice and glaciers. It is quite astonishing as in past years the lake was full of garbage floating around it. It was finally restored a few years ago and now resembles a crystal clear turquoise pool that looks like a real gem.
8. Khunjerab Pass
Located at the northernmost tip of the Karakoram Highway, Khunjerab Pass provides a glimpse of the distant horizon and presents a unique image of the Himalayan Mountains. By driving northwards toward Phuentsholing, you will follow a long stretch of barren landscapes, dotted with rivers and villages.
But when you approach the road, the surroundings suddenly change into a paradise. The Karakoram Highway begins. About 1,500 metres higher than the highway, the town of Kukmarat, known at the moment as Khodom and formerly Kunjerab, is perched high above the desert landscape near the town. The dramatic scene changes further when you visit the village of Khun, nestled along the side of the Grand Trunk Road. Here, the spectacular sight of the majestic mountains is enhanced by snow-covered peaks and snowy skies.

Luckily, during winter months, this hikeable path is possible only on two days – Sunday and Monday.
10. The largest salt mine in Balochistan
Situated on the northwestern outskirts of Quetta, Shogran Salt Mine is one of the largest man-made salt deposits constructed in Southeast Asia. It contains an estimated 90 million tons of sea salts and 45 million tons of rock salt. During the summer season, the temperature reaches 40C (104F). Later in the evening, the sun slowly disappears while the rays pour down into the vast void of space of the deep pits, giving rise to innumerable glittering silver crystals. It has been discovered by Sir Alec Sherwood of the British Geological Survey in 1883. The construction began in 1863 and is completed in 1921. Some of its key components include 15 kilometres of tunnels. Around 180 workers perform daily work for 20 hours. As a result, the number of people employed in the project is 200.
